I am an Esthetician and not a Medical Practitioner. If you have any questions regarding your health or medical diagnosis about your skin, I suggest going to a Dermatologist.

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK A FACIAL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO LAY DOWN FOR AN HOUR OR SO.

What is a facial?
A skin care treatment that includes steam, exfoliation, extraction, creams, lotions, facial masks, and massage.  It leaves your skin cleaner, softer, younger, and truly transformed, help clear clogged pores, quench parched skin and remove dead cells, involves some massage which aids in blood circulation and lymphatic drainage, remove dead skin cells, improve the appearance of fine lines and blemishes, moisturize and hydrate.

Some products may contain:
Nuts, Soy, Vegan, Gluten

When should I schedule my next appointment for facials?
Once a month.  After three or four weeks, your skin cells grow back.  Facials help this process and assure your skin always glows.  Try not to get a facial the day before a big event especially if it's your first time.  There can be normal or abnormal breakouts after a facial.

What can I do before getting a facial?
It's okay if you have makeup up on but try to show up bare-faced if you can.
Don't use anything harsh on your face, such as Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid, Retin A or AHAs three days before.  This is a common ingredient found in many anti-aging and acne-fighting creams that may leave the skin prone to irritation and redness.  Don't use any products the morning of.  Keep your routine light on the day of your appointment.

What should I do between appointments?
Take good care of your skin.  Just like your body, your skin needs attention and care. No matter how often you get facials if you don't take care of your skin daily, it will become congested, dull,  and age quicker. Exfoliate once a week, apply SPF everyday, and don't pick your skin or face ever!

What can I do after getting a facial?
Don't shower or steam after a treatment. You'll undo the benefits of essential oils used in a massage or serums and lotions applied during a facial. Don't shave or wax before a facial since it will make your skin too sensitive.  Avoid wearing makeup or using any of the products on your skin during the day or two that follow your face to give your skin time to heal.
Allow your skin to just detox itself

What are the disadvantages of facial?
Redness and irritation.  The most common side effects of the facial are redness and blotchy skin due to the pressure of exfoliation and extraction.

How many days it takes to glow after facial?
Facials have long term benefits. You will see an immediate glow and feel hydrated for 3 days. After that, the body starts to "follow-up" on the work we do together during your treatment. Your cells regenerate—creating new, healthy skin.

Why do I get pimples after facial?
Skin sometimes purges a day or two after because extractions cause the skin to get rid of the toxins hanging out just below the surface. When this happens, the skin can break out in whiteheads or pimples, and it can be inflamed and red.

Is it bad to get a facial when you have acne?
Facials are not recommended for severe, inflammatory acne.  Exfoliation can lead to more severe inflammation, while extraction can result in acne scars.

Do facials remove blackheads?
A deep cleansing one with steam and extractions, followed by a good massage will open up and unclog your pores and deep cleanse your skin.  The treatment also involves gently squeezing out the blackheads so regular facials are definitely ideal.

Should I wax before or after a facial?
Waxing is always done first, prior to your facial, for the comfort and safety of your skin.  Any areas waxed will be carefully avoided during your facial exfoliation so it don't further irritate the skin.

What does the LED Treatment do?
It is a non-invasive treatment that enters the skin’s layers to improve the skin. It helps treat a variety of skin concerns and conditions such as acne, aging, and hyperpigmentation.

What is a Hydrojelly Mask?
A Hydrojelly Mask is a “jelly-like” mask that provides the skin with several benefits such as hydration, smoothing, washing, exfoliating, cooling, moisturizing, toning and reducing inflammation.

What does a High Frequency do?
The high frequency device consists of a hand held wand with a glass electrode on the end. When in use, the electrode produces a small electrical current (Tesla Current), ozone, & argon gas. Your esthetician glides this wand over your skin or directly to a specific area, you may sense a mild warming sensation in the skin & hear a buzzing sound. High-frequency treatments kill bacteria and reduce inflammation, hence the acne-fighting benefits. Avoid high-frequency treatment if you: have any autoimmune disorders like rheumatoid arthritis, have pacemakers or any large metallic implants in your body, and are pregnant
